Triple differential cross section for electron impact ionisation of atomic hydrogen: semiclassical approach

Résumé

A semiclassical explanation of the behaviour of the triple differential cross sections in the symmetric case is given. It is shown that the long-range interaction of the outgoing particles results in a change in the angles of their asymptotic paths when the particles are assumed to behave classically. Good agreement with experiment is obtained.
