Overview of the LHCb calorimeter electronics

Abstract : The goal of the LHCb calorimeter electronics is twofold. It provides a fast response for the first level trigger on the nature and characteristics of the particles produced in the B meson decay and gives precision measurements for the offline analysis. Stringent constraints are imposed on the electronics whose noise and pile-up effect must remain low, in spite of the high data sample rate and of its location (just above the detector), in a high radiation level area.
