Abstract : The precision physics that is being carried out by D0 at Fermilab in the Run II of the Tevatron, requires optimal calorimeter response and resolution. To achieve a high level of calorimeter data quality a complete on-line and off-line strategy has been developed and implemented. It includes : online data monitoring and quality checking; offline data monitoring and data quality verification with physical objects; offline calorimeter failure correction; identification and removal of noisy events; special algorithms to remove sporadic and isolated "hot" cells or "hot" regions in the calorimeter; rejection of " bad" runs or portions of them based on strict requirements on unbiased physics quantities.
