The Role of the N=28 and N=40 Closed Shells in the Neutron-Rich Ca-Ti-Cr-Fe-Ni Elements in the Universe

Abstract : The nuclear structure of neutron-rich elements, as for instance the beta-decay times, may considerably influence the neutron-capture path in explosive stellars events. Special care is given in this contribution to the links between nuclear and astrophysics for the synthesis of the stable neutron-rich Ca-Ti-Cr-Fe-Ni isotopes.
