Top properties within the Standard Model

Abstract : The high number of top quarks which will be produced at the LHC will allow precision measurements within the Standard Model. The weak decay of this very heavy particle is faster than QCD effects, which means that its properties can be deduced from its daughters without significant dilution. Measuring those properties, in a mass scale where new phenomena can be seen, is a natural way to probe the Standard Model and open windows on new physics. The CMS and ATLAS collaborations are actively preparing those studies. Some of them are presented here, with estimates of the accuracy that we can expect after one and more years of data taking at LHC.
