Proton-proton physics with the ALICE muon spectrometer at the LHC

Abstract : ALICE, the dedicated heavy ion experiment at the LHC, will also have an important impact on the proton-proton physics program. The physics analyses foreseen with the ALICE muon spectrometer are reviewed. A particular emphasis is placed on heavy flavor measurement.
