Cosmic Ray Interactions near the LHC energy range (approach with XREC at mountain altitude and in the stratosphere)

Abstract : Several common features of multiple production have been observed at mountain altitude and in the stratosphere. We emphasize here the case of the coplanar emission observed also in a couple of remarkable events recorded in the stratosphere. Extensive simulation with CORSIKA demonstrates that such phenomena can be explained by fluctuations with standard physics. However, in the case of stratospheric events with a minimal cascading, specific features contradicts such explanation. Consequently, the hints of new physics which could explain the alignment in terms of relativistic strings and diquark breaking have been explored. One description is proposed for the possible aspects of coplanar emission visible on colliders.
