High-precision simulation of slow-extraction spill from a hadrontherapy synchrotron

Abstract : This report reviews the reconstruction, by means of multiturn, stepwise ray-tracing, of a slow-extracted particle beam from a synchrotron. The goal is to show that very precise descriptions of the transverse beam densities and the slow-spill intensity, which are crucial parameters in hadrontherapy, can be obtained in this way.
