Recent developments of a Micromegas detector for neutron physics

Résumé

After a short description of the Micromegas principle, a concept of new neutron detectors based on this technique is presented. It is illustrated by an overall picture of the use of these detectors in different domains such as: nuclear physics, inertial fusion and industrial applications. A particular description will be devoted to two topics. The first one concerns the compact detector named ldquoPiccolo- Micromegasrdquo. This detector, capable of measuring a neutron flux in a broad range of neutron energies, is developed for the measurements of the in-core neutrons flux of future generations of nuclear reactors. The second one based on the new micro-bulk concept is developed for a monitoring detector of a neutron beam.
