High resolution imaging and in vitro investigations of fluorescent dye-modified TiO2 nanoparticles toxicity in human primary keratinocytes.

Abstract : Nanotechnologies are of great interest for researchers and industrialists, with numerous applications in domains such as medicine, catalysis and material sciences. However, their potential effects on human health have also attracted the attention of public and governments' worldwide. Established methods of chemical safety assessments have to be modified to address the special characteristics of nanoparticles and more especially to assess the biological effects of these highly reactive materials.
