Future of charm physics

Abstract : Charm particles provide a unique opportunity to study particle-antiparticle mixing induced by virtual down-type quarks. CP violation in charm physics is still a Terra Incognita which remains to be explored. Charm hadrons are also a laboratory to control hadronic uncertainties in weak transitions of heavy quarks. To do this physics program, large data samples registered close to the production threshold or at higher energies are needed.
