Single Muon Response: Tracklength

Abstract : This note is the first in a series of notes in which we aim to infer a model for the response of a Pierre Auger water Cherenkov detector to an ideal single muon. The main goal of the series is to provide analytical support for muon counting techniques. In this note we derive the probability distribution of the muon tracklength as a function of the zenith angle of the muon.
