Interactive charts of beams of GANIL and European facilities
Abstract
The chart of beams of GANIL aims to be a useful, efficient and quick tool to have main
information about the beams produced, or potentially produced, in the facilities of GANIL.
The new version of the chart, developed in 2015, allows standardizing of the manner
to present the data concerning the beams available in GANIL for better understanding,
immediate comparison and easy access to the information. Five facilities are included in
this chart: Cyclotrons and Linac for stable beams and SPIRAL1, S3 and SPIRAL2-Phase2
for radioactive beams. In the frame of ENSAR, GANIL developed, in collaboration with ECOS partners, a chart of
stable beams available in European facilities. Eight European laboratories are concerned by
this chart representative of five countries: France (ALTO and GANIL), Italy (LNL–Legnaro
and LNS-Catania), Germany (GSI), Poland (SLCJ/Warsow and IFJ/Cracow) and Finland
(Jyväskylä).
Another chart is now under development in the frame of ENSAR2 as a task of the
JRA/EURISOL. This new chart, called “CRIBE” (Chart of radioactive beams of Europe),
will present the data (nature, energy, intensity...) available or soon available radioactive
beams in European facilities
