SPIRAL 2 – DESIR Beam lines and infrastructure

Abstract : In this poster we will present to the community an over view of the SPIRAL 2 – Phase 1+ project, also called DESIR. The development, constructions and tests of the different experimental set-ups for the DESIR facility are ongoing at many laboratories. Various research groups are invested in these works, therefore we would like to present to you the advancements and the timelines associated for the construction of the buildings, the authorizations requests and the construction of the beam lines. We will also present to you the principals of the integration of servitudes that are foreseen for the installation. To allow the installation and operation of the different experimental equipments in the DESIR hall a certain amount of prerequisites are to be integrated regarding the direct interfaces with the hosting beam lines and servitudes. While the physics program and the experimental set-ups are in charge of the EQUIPEXDESIR physics collaboration as well as the finance of parts of the building and beam line equipments. The design and construction of the buildings, safety and security studies and reports as well as the interactions with French nuclear safety authorities, the study, design and construction of equipments for beam transport between GANIL, S3 and DESIR, infrastructure of the building and servitudes for the set-ups are in charge of the SPIRAL 2 project.
