This work is devoted to the study of a particular four-body quantum problem of Wolfes type on the line \cite{Wolf74}. We solve the corresponding Schrödinger equation in an harmonic confinement for the particles where we provide the full eigensolutions and corresponding eigenenergies. We discuss also the domain of the coupling constant where the irregular solution becomes physically acceptable. Finally, we extend the problem to $D$-dimensional space.
