The electrodisintegration of the deuteron near threshold in the light-front dynamics

The deuteron electrodisintegration near threshold is considered in the light front dynamics. The contribution of the dominant extra component to the deuteron wave function which appears in this approach is investigated. Contact terms relevant to this approach are also derived. The contributions involving pi exchange are compared to the usual pair term which is included in the non-relativistic description of the transition form factor
