Résumé
This article wants to discuss the new paradigm of the virtual user and the quality of services in the french Universities with two major questions: what are the scholarly and pedagogic contents available among the french Universities for students and researchers and what is the convergence with e-learning platforms ? Then, the authors point the evolution of library activities, distinguish activities in Back Office and Front Office. Two priorities are identified in the french context: the link between e-libray and e-learning and the need of partnerships to develop virtual collections. The Manum project is so briefly presented.
