Measurement of the Cosmic Rays energy spectrum in the Pierre Auger Observatory

Abstract : The energy spectrum measurement by the Pierre Auger Observatory is presented. The data sample is divided into three sub-samples, the quasi vertical event sample with zenith angle less than 60 degrees, the quasi horizontal event sample with zenith angle above 60 degrees and the hybrid event sample seen by both the surface and the fluorescence detectors. The event selection criteria and the event reconstruction techniques, depending on the event sub-sample are described, discussing the statistical and systematic errors on the energy measurement. The calculation of the detector aperture and its uncertainties are also given. The possible physical interpretation of the spectrum shape are mentioned.
